I usually get about 80% of my traffic from search engines. This month dropped to 60% because I had two posts take off – one on Reddit and one was linked to by Pat Flynn's Smart Passive Income.
I have 3 "pillar" type posts that rank 1-3 on Google if you search for them, and that drives a lot of my traffic.
I love this community because I'm learning about concepts I never considered before. Did you thoughtfully incorporate your key search terms into your "pillar" posts to strategically position yourself at the top of Google? Are the search terms in the headline of your posts?

My strategy is to get 1/3 from search traffic, referrals, and direct traffic. Right now it's SE- 49%, R- 25%, and D- 16%.
I personally use Market Samurai for my keyword analysis tool and it's helped tremendously with growing search traffic. They have a free trial if you want to see if it would you out or just to see some possible keywords to tackle.

I am around 45 percent overall. My search engine traffic jumped dramatically after a couple nights of really working on SEO and adding keywords to previous articles and such, and manually going back and internally linking some articles together, among some other things I don't remember…

I really need to set aside some time to work on SEO! Thanks for the first hand account.
