Dividend Growth Investing & Retirement is Starting the Yakezie Challenge | Bloggers Lair | Yakezie Forums

Hello Yakezie,

I'm officially throwing my hat in the challenge. I tried looking up my Alexa ranking, but my blog is too new, so I've got a ways to go before 200,000.

I'm really looking forward to this challenge. I've never made a blog like this before, so I'm hoping to meet lots of people that can help out along the way. Hopefully once I've figured things out myself, I'll be able to pass this knowledge on. 

I first got started investing with Dividend Reinvestment Plans (DRIPs). Once I'd setup a few, I started helping others get enrolled in DRIPs. It was during this period that I discovered that I really enjoy helping out beginner investors. This is now one of my reasons for starting a finance blog. 

A little bit about Dividend Growth Investing & Retirement: The blog will showcase how I plan to use dividend growth stocks to reach financial freedom. There a number of similar blogs out there, so how I plan to differentiate myself is by providing and maintaining the Canadian Dividend All-Star List. The list provides financial and stock information for Canadian companies that have increased their dividend for five or more consecutive years. 

I'm also hoping that opening up my portfolio to the public I will be able to become a better investor. 

My blog is still in the early stages, but I welcome all comments. As a blogging newbie, I'm looking for as much guidance as possible.
