Does my site get link juice from this kind of link???
My link is way buried in there, but it does go to my post when I click on it.

It's a do-follow link, so that's a good thing. Hopefully it passes link juice your way!

Any link whether it is "do-follow" or not will give you some kind of juice. It is all about Google seeing you as an authority.

I'm a little confused by the above. The whole point of no-follow links is that they DON'T pass on link juice or improve PR/search engine rankings. Google doesn't even index no-followed pages unless they're linked elsewhere with a do-follow link.

It's a little confusing, but seems like you should see "link juice" through it

Joe, you'll get juice. But if the initiator page has a rank 0, then you wont. I just amazed by the potential of this link. If they keep it on each of your posts, you'll be a A-list blogger soon by referral visits alone.

Even a "no-follow" link is still registered in Google. In fact, it makes the backlinking to your site appear more natural if there are a few "no-follow" links. Think about it, why would there be such a thing as a "no-follow" link at all if there was no reason to it?

Personally I'd expect search engines to give less weight to links that go through redirects like that. If not, wouldn't companies with affiliate programs be dominating the search engines?

That doesn't quite jive with this article from Google.

I wouldn't trust google to tell you too much truth about their algorithm. In the cases of nofollow links, it's actually a pretty good metric to determine how artificial a website's link profile is. If too high a percentage of their links are all dofollow, that may raise some red flags. I've had unlinked url references show up in my google webmaster tools as links. So perhaps nofollow links are somehow treated the same, but hidden behind the scenes to keep spammers chasing mostly dofollow links.

I guess I should disclose that my dad is an engineer for Google. So maybe I have an unfair advantage. But I'm pretty certain that nofollow is exactly what it says. Not saying it hurts to have them around, just saying they don't pass on PR.
