I just installed the All in One SEO Pack and have started filling out the Title, Description, and Keywords. Do I also need to fill in title and description for Head Space? My plan is to go back and fill in all the SEO Pack info for all my posts and delete Head Space altogether. Is that okay for SEO purposes or does having both really help?
Also, do the tags on the posts need to be visible for the search engines to see them? Or can they just be there but not be displayed and still work?
Thank you all for helping me so much!

Have I stumped all the SEO knowledgeable Yakezie members with this one or did it just get overlooked in my sea of questions lately, lol?

I don't have too much SEO knowledge but I was in weekend bliss to answer anything small :) may be others are like that too.
As far as I know if you have thesis/studiopress like theme (any SEO optimized theme, Atahualpa theme is a SEO optimized theme I believe, meaning the theme itself will have space to fill desc, keywords, etc. ), you don't need AIO/headspace. If you want to have them, def. one of them will do. All they do is add <meta keywords> & <meta description>. Whether you add it once or thrice (from your theme, AIO, headspace) it is not going to be different. You do need to have them at least once. So I say pick one which you like the most or have mostly completed. If you have been using headspace for quite sometime and have filled out everything, there is really no need to add AIO and refill those fields again. And if you do want to change, make sure you export everything from one plugin to another (there are plugins that will do that :) or plain old sql will work as well).
That is my understanding anyway…

Suba got it right. If you have an SEO theme, you are good to go. If you don't, adding All In One SEO is a good idea.

id focus on the SEO pack fields and nothing else, all else can lead to potential conflict. and no, text doesn't have to be visible for it to be effective from an SEO perspective. all your meta tags are coded in the background and not visible. all the best
