Do you accept guest posts? | Bloggers Lair | Yakezie Forums

I used to accept guest posts all day long, but I've been much more selective.  

I took my guest posting guidelines down and now all I look for is one of the following.

1.  Someone that is willing to share a personal journey or experience they've had with money.

2.  How they were able to overcome it or what they've learned

3.  How others can benefit from that experience.

What I don't want is: "5 Steps to Better Your Finances or whatever".   I used to be okay with those, but there's plenty of other spots for that elsewhere.   

In summary, I dig stories.  :)

I will find the sites, pitch them and do the leg work there as well as comment on the post when it goes up. I have reasonable rates and will work with you on a list of topics that you want guest posts to be as well as specific linkbacks that you want to use and more. I want to apologize if it appears that I intruded on your post. I didn't realize, at the time, that it would be tacky to express an interest myself. I wasn't trying to hog in on your post. I'm so sorry if I offended you.

It wasn't so much as intrusion, but more of keeping the message clean. For example, now, people would be forced to reply to both of you. If they generally said "yes", it might look like they said to both of you when they meant to agree to just one of you. If it is a general discussion, by all means jump in. But if it is a specific request from a specific person, it is better to start a separate thread for your own request just so the original poster gets as much attention as possible. I am sure Jessica didn't take offense or anything. As you are new to the boards I thought I will just let you know that you could start your own thread for all the requests

Suitable posts take an angle of investing, trading, planning or saving for retirement, college or financial freedom.
