No, but I also don't drink much as I find it worsens my migraines. I never drink along (unless you count Mimosas, but they don't count because that is really just fizzy OJ, right?) so when I do drink I am with friends or family and am relaxing and not working.

Ahhh no, I don't think anyone would want to read what I would write when drinking alcohol, I can feel my head start to get light after one glass!

I had to think about this one.
Wine before and with dinner, bourbon mojitos after work, whisky with cigars, and all three while BBQing.
Beer in a cold pint glass after gardening.
But only coffee while writing in the morning.

I drink sometimes when I'm writing, but not to deliberately be inspired.
I find coffee more effective to get the writing done.
I guess there's just something about drugs

Such a good thread…I absolutely drink when I draw a blank. Does that mean I have a drinking problem? Absolutely not. It means I have a writing problem.

Something about holding a drink in your hand while standing over a grill, just can't be beat. I miss summer :)

I've never blogged while drinking. I'm not against trying it though. Maybe someday.

I usually dont drink while writing because I write at lunch, but sometimes I have a few beers while working on other things and get a "great, amazing world changing" idea for a post. Usually it doesnt pan out and ends up as just a regular post, but oh well.
I usually edit later and dont publish right away, so i'm not too concerned with it – sometimes I really feel like it helps the ideas flow.
And for those of you who cant seem to focus while writing and drinking, clearly you havent found your sweet spot on the "ballmer peak" yet.

Never. I don't see how that can help anyway.
Actually, I rarely drink as it is. Maybe one drink a month. The college days of yesteryear seem like a long time ago:)

I've never drank while writing a post, but I almost never drink. I don't see that it would be much of a problem, provided I stay awake. I have a very low tolerance. I'm sure I'll end up writing drunken posts at some point, but I never publish immediately and try to stay at least a week ahead so there's plenty of time to edit and rethink.
