Hello Everyone!
I have been receiving a TON of spam comments lately, and wanted to share a few of my favorites:
- hey, amicable blog…absolutely like it and added to bookmarks. keep up with humane exertion!
- I harmonise with your conclusions and will thirstily look forward to your coming updates.
- Hello may I use some of the message here in this record if I tie up treacherously to you? (By ‘tie up treacherously to you’ I assume you mean link to me?)
Hahahahahahaha! I'd love it if you all shared yours.

Most likely Google's fault! The spammers are non English speaking folks who use Google translate. The result is this hilarity!
Either that or this guy is completely nuts.

Good topic!!! Im sooooo tired of receiving this crap. I almost thought about doing this as a humorous post on my site…and I still might!
Here is the one I receive the most "Thanks for that awesome posting. It saved much time :)"…i get that like 20 times a day.
Here is another "i patently genuinely derive pleasure your website. Perfectly, the chunk of posting is in pledge the very finest on this genuinely usefulness though subject" LOL

Oh wow! Thanks for sharing this! I have a pretty good spam filter on my Intense Debate commenting system, so I don't see my spam comments. This one makes me wish I do though! haha

The worst is one of these people actually leave a decent comment but leave the name as "payday loan John." Why bother leaving a decent comment?
How do you guys deal with this?

lol I haven't been lucky enough to get one of those hilarious mistranslations lately. I was getting tons of giant 500 character spam comments filled with a hundred+ links to random garbage a few weeks ago but those have slowed down a bit. Plus they're nowhere near as good as Amanda's humane exertion ones or Suba's bananas ones.

Good one Amanda!! ;) It's better to remove the comment.php (leave it blank) section from the template.. You will not receive such wonderful comments ever..
Generally, what we do is we send the spam comment to trash, but it won't get removed from the database..

Hi md: I typically keep comments of sound mind, even if they are from "payday loan John" (as long as they don't have links in them to questionable sites).

The spammers are so relentless sometimes. I've been hit with 15+ of the same spam comment today alone. This guy is using different credentials each time so luckily the spam filter is still catching all of them. I still wish they were the entertaining mistranslation kind instead of just full of links. :)

Sometimes spammer use proxy websites to comment…(to hide their IP)
