I got approached by a writer for the US News & World report a few weeks back asking to do an interview in regards to us paying off $52k in consumer debt in 18 months. It was a great experience and we feel blessed that we were able to share our story.

Side note: It is crazy, even though the article did not "link to my site in the article, I have been getting a TON of traffic for people searching for WellKeptWallet.com. On the day the article was released I received 2000 unique visitors and 7407 page views! I am getting way more than that still today. It is so amazing to see how big of an impact one article can have.

Congrats on the article Deacon, that is quite the achievement. I paid off $50k of credit card debt in 4 years and that was a struggle, so I don't know how I would be able to do that in 18 months. Nice work!

Thanks! Paying off $50k in credit card debt is still an amazing accomplishment no matter how long it took you. Congrats to you as well.

Has any one of you been mentioned in a publication like this before? Any thoughts on how to keep the momentum going? Yesterday I had 4,890 unique visitors and 18,750 page views! This is unbelievable.

You could try pitching your story to other news outlets. Even local media might take notice of this story. Submit it to Redditt and see if gets some buzz, too,
