I also have my ticket and booked my room. I'm planning on flying out Wednesday and coming back Monday. I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself!
Marissa–if you click the book your hotel room link from the conference website, it'll automatically give you the conference rate.

My ticket is locked in. Probably should lock down a room too, but I need to get some food first. Anyone who wants to double up let me know. There are options for 2 double beds at the same rate as the single king option.

The hotel should hold the reservation without charging your card until you actually stay there.

… And you can cancel up to 24 hours before your actual stay.

I may be interested. I'm planning on coming out Thurs and leaving Sunday. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow if you haven't already locked down a roomie by then.

I got my ticket, but havent booked a room yet – i've got family in the area so i may stay with them, but i have a feeling that could be a pain. For those interested in sharing rooms, last year we set up a spreadsheet to for people who needed rides from the airport (there is no train, yet) wanted to share a room, etc. I'm sure we can get one of those going again
looking forward to seeing you all!

Registered for conference, booked air, booked hotel and husband requested time off work. Very, very expensive day. I wish I would have known there was a coupon code for taking the survey.

Yah, just registered and booked the hotel and airfare this morning I'm very excited to go and looking forward to it! – and looking forward to seeing everyone there. Some familiair faces and new friends.
For those who are undecided, don't sit on the fence. This is a must go to event, and will do wonders for your blog. The connections you make, and knowledge you gain, will be priceless. I attended FinCon11 and it was mind blowing! I expect FinCon12 will be much the same…
Cheers!

That is an awesome idea. I'm sure plenty of people would rather double in the room and cut expenses unless they sprung for the plush suite I know I'm definitely going to want to split a cab if I know others will be arriving close to when I will be. It just makes the ride much more enjoyable.

I so wish I could go! I think that with my car purchase and job insecurity, I'd better not chance it. I'll be living vicariously through all of you!

Instead of babble about how we created a spreadsheet last year for splitting rooms, I just went ahead and created one for fincon12

Anyone can edit, so if you feel like more info is needed, add a new column!

I'm up for splitting a cab if anyone is hitting the airport reasonably close to the same time.

There are hotel shuttles every 15 minutes. I think it's $22 one way.
