Dang! Since our 3rd child is due to be born only 3 weeks before this conference, I don't think I will be able to attend. The one time I did travel without my wife since we've been married was a trip to Denver, and I have to say that the city and the surrounding area was AWESOME! Really wish I could make it to this one, but will have to pass.

FMV – your car should be fine, it's a pretty nice area, though you'll probably have to pay for parking
Crystal – your best bet for a flight most likely will be on Southwest – there's a credit card that will give you enough points (sw branded, offered by chase) to make the RT if you're interested.
Thanks for looking out for me. I loved Southwest when I lived on that side of town. Now I splurge and spend $30-$50 more on average to fly out of IAH since Hobby is an hour away or more but IAH is 20 minutes in traffic. I live on the north side of Houston. And I will admit it right now…I did not wait after all to buy my airfare. I worried myself that flights would fill up and I'd have to drive 18 hours, so I just bought my ticket for $275. Yeah, I suck.
What time are you flying in?

LOL. If my stalker can make it through airport security to meet me, I'd be flattered. The entire fact I will be at FINCON probably makes me easy to track, hahaha. I know all the soft bits to aim for if I am ever attacked. And I'll just stick around scary looking friends like you for extra layers of protection. Make sure to keep your grrr face on for me.

I live in Longmont CO, so I'm probably interested in driving down. I didn't see any signup details on the website, but it looks like people are already getting hotels etc. Is there some other source of info I should be looking at?
Under the video on the fincon site, this link has all your info! http://www.financialbloggercon…..-now-open/

Got my conference ticket, two awesome roommates and will book the flight ticket today. Now the only difficult part is to wait :) I will be combining it with the labor day and make a vacation out of it. Hopefully it will work out fine.

If you are looking for ways to participate in FINCON12, be sure to check out #IgniteFinance. I just created a homepage for the event at http://narrowbridge.net/ignitefinance/

Have my ticket to the con, my roommie already booked the room. Will most likely be there Wed-Sun. Luckily, flight from Seattle to Denver aren't all that expensive. Waiting for a few more points on my credit card, though, to take $ of the price.
Any folks out there interested in doing a Seattle area FinCon meetup?

I'm putting in my time off sheet at work tomorrow! I sure hope they approve it so I can come… although I often feel *sick* around those dates

Would he enjoy sitting through blogging/PF conference sessions with you?

Last year my fiancee (then girlfriend) went and hung out with some of our friends in the area while I was at the conference, as we had not seen them in a while – this year, she may do the same thing, though I'm thinking of getting her a ticket as well (I dont want to get her one if she's not going to use it – that will annoy me), so she may just hang out with friends in denver while I'm at the conference this year as well.
You could convince him to go and make a vacation out of it – just hang out with him after the conference is over and he can see denver during the day.

Unless you're husband is a geek like the rest of us, he might not enjoy it. My husband would be bored stiff during the sessions and the social activities. I wouldn't enjoy the conference if he came worrying about his enjoyment.
You should get the most out of the experience including networking outside of sessions. People that had outside friends and families can't take advantage as much.

If you guys want to see how much I've spent on FinCon12 so far, I did a post on it. I call it round 1 because I have no clue how much we'll spend once we're actually there.
