I just came up with what I hope is a great giveaway idea, but I have no idea how to properly advertise it/spread the word to people who are not already readers.

If you were doing a traditional sweepstakes-style giveaway, there are a few sites that you can list those on. But I'm not sure they would accept the kind of format you are using.

social media, FB, Twitter, and so on. and just google sweepstakes to find sites to publish your giveaway on. That takes a bit of time tough. So usually prizes upward of $100 get traction, for a $10 gift card I would just do social media and ask other bloggers to promote.
