I think Google are experiencing some problems with the roll-out of the Plusone.
I honestly think this should go on evey post, not the sidebar or main page.

I +1'ed (or whatever the term is) everyone in this thread and whoever I visited today, but I don't think it is reflecting anything? For example, I have +1'ed BFS twice now, once yesterday and once today, but it is still 0. When you guys click on it and then come back is it getting updated?
@Hunter, you can choose to add it to the main page or every post, its your choice (I have them on both).

@Suba – Yes, I believe you can place the 1+ box almost anywhere. I wonder which will be the best for SEO?

I just went through everyone here and +1'd everyone whose box I could find.
I added the +1 to my top navbar (next to my Fan Us icon, middle right). Would love it if you could stop by and +1 me!
As to whether we should +1 a site or individual articles – Google has a setting where you can add any url to the code so I think they are encouraging you to set specific urls as well as dynamic ones. Truth is, this is an experiment so far so who knows what this will lead to? Big G has hinted it could be used in ranking results but there's no saying that actually happens. Goog hasn't had any real success at social media as yet.
For those with the Thesis theme, DIYThemes has an article about adding the +1. It also includes the links back to the google pages to configure the button: http://diythemes.com/thesis/rt…..re-button/

I'm trying to put the +1 button on the main nav bar. Does anyone know how to do this?

Plus 1 is likely part of Google's new "social search," which will show users (who are currently logged in to their Google account) what their friends like on the web. It's being rolled out slowly, and shows up sporadically in different geo-areas.

Mine didn't seem to work, so I left it at the bottom of all of my posts but removed the one on my sidebar…

i implemented this not long ago and wrote a post about it, and though some visitors have clicked it i have not seen mass use/benefit from it yet (too early). G did come out and say it will have positive SEO implications, but time will tell. for now i did it so that i do not miss the wagon. it's too important to ignore.

I think this feature has been automatically incorporated if you use one of the blogger default templates. I'm seeing it when I click through to the bottom of one of my posts, it's just been lumped in with all the other sharing methods which is nice. Yay for Blogger for once having an advantage! ;)
Yep, saw that too – yeh blogger

I went through and +1 anybody I could find that had posted here. I have it on my nav bar. I would REALLY appreciate any +1 clicks as well as the Alexa love that would come from that as well.
Thanks!!!

Impressive. One post and it's to a niche site that has nothing to do with PF. Google -1 would be an awesome service.

Hello,
Google+1 is now available as an option with the Shareaholic plugin for WordPress users.
You can see it implemented on my website, but there are other placement options and some new Facebook button options as well:
http://www.maximizingmoney.com…..couponing/
It came with a plugin update today I believe, so you may have seen it.
I didn't really see it mentioned here, but Google+1 is also something you would have to sign up for through your Google account like your Gmail account if you actually want the Google+ features to show up in your Google searches.
Google +1 is available as an experiment right now at: http://www.google.com/experimental/
You must be logged into your Google account, and then just click Join this Experiment.
You will then be able to see the Google +1 results in your searches (or at least you should).
I'm going through and hitting everybody's buttons now.
