Hello! I just cleared 100 dollars last month (November), so I assume Google is looking at my account. For December, I have made a couple sense in Adsense, which is fine. What is really strange is my unit impressions have plummeted. My data for the last 3 days is as follows: (Date and unit impressions)
Tue, Nov 30, 2010: 702
Wed, Dec 1,2010: 42
Thu, Dec 2,2010: 4
Any ideas how it could drop from 702 to 4? I am wondering if they are booting me like they have to some others.

If they boot you, it's over is a second, not gradually dropping your rank. You wouldn't be able to log into adsense at all.

Oh really? They revoke your login to Adsense period and you are done?
I just can't figure any other reason as to why my impressions would be so pathetic. (Today's is at 4 also). I am using the Adsense Beta product, so maybe there is a reporting glitch. Who knows.

I was experimenting with some ad placement today and they weren't returning an actual ad at all. Maybe Google just isn't liking PF content today. :)
If you get suspended, you'll get an email telling you why and telling you how to file a useless appeal.

Yep! They sent me an email one day and said, your account has been disabled. Even with my appeal, I couldn't log in at all to look at my past stats!

I would double check that the ads are coming up on your site, and that they're loading correctly. If you normally get a lot more impressions, something could be wrong?

Well, I have bragged incessantly about inmotion hosting being so great, but it has been down quite a bit the last couple days. Regardless though, I am still showing more than 200 visitors a day, even with the outage, so I would think I would have a commiserate amount of impressions. (times the number of units on my page)
I want to verify the publisher id on my units, but since my site is down, I can't do anything right now.
Thanks for your insights so far everyone!

I am just curious – why and when can Google drop an account? What are the reasons?

Well, I think it is because they think you or people you know are your clicking ads so you will get revenue, and they only want 'legitimate' clicks. That is my best guess.

Interesting… how can they prove any of it? It is more a rhetorical question…

Google doesn't have to prove or explain anything my friend! Just ask those who have been suspended. That is why I am nervous. I know I haven't done anything wrong, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything…

It sounds like your ads aren't showing. I agree with KNS. If Google was going to boot you, you would be booted already. Google doesn't slowly disable your adsense account. They do it all at once.

My ads are definintely showing. I am showing all of 2 page views today. I know my site was down on and off, but I still show 160 visitors today. Heck, I have 8 comments so I know at least my page was brought up 8 times!
So puzzled…

FYI, the problem has been solved and my account was hacked somehow. I post a new thread about it. Thanks everyone!

I've just checked and there doesn't seem to be any ads showing again.
@aloysa – they ran statisitcal analysis on your ads, looking at which DNS they are coming from, frequency of clicks and what should be "normal" for a site like yours. Google appear to figure that with the amount of data they have and their capacity for data mining, they can pretty quickly weed out people who regularly click on their own site.

i just read about the possibility of hackers changing the code to their publisher account numbers. look into the adsense code on your website as well!
