Hi Guys,

Google Analytics is showing some Real time stats.

It give a pretty good insight into whats happening on your site at a given time.

You can see what pages are begin read, where the readers are coming from location, referrals, search engines etc.

Just thought you might be interested :)

I used 'GetClicky' for some time.

But since its in Google Analytics now, there's no need to add code for other services. Less code means faster page loads :)

Click on the "HOME" button on the navigation bar.

Then on the right sidebar you will see "REAL-TIME (BETA)"

Thanks for this. I need to make better use of Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools.

I started using it a couple weeks ago.  It's pretty nice how you can see what's going on at a particular moment in time.  I did have Clicky installed at one point, but this is a much better option as far as not having to install yet another plug-in or slow down the site.

GA has always been my default. It seems to be the most accurate.

I really wish I hadn't seen this thread – I've been glued to the real-time stats for over an hour! It's SO HARD to click away.

Piwik does. Not by default, but it is easy to enable non-js browser tracking.

I use it right now. But I remember there was another service, really similar to Google real time analytics, and it came out before Google. It's not free though. I think $20 a month. Can't seem to put my finger on the name.

Thanks Suba, will try Piwik. So any given day result from Piwik would be more accurate compared to any other analytics tool including GA, right?

Pretty neat stuff. Probably not very useful unless you are doing some sort of real time advertising that you want to monitor though. Think it would end up being a big time waster for me so I will probably try to avoid it!

What are you guys doing with it?

I had a hard time finding it and finally figured out I needed to update to the new Google Analytics interface.  It probably isn't going to be of any use to me but it is interesting.

I finally figured out we have to move to the new GA. It's pretty cool, but I only see 2 visitors right now. Will check back when it's a bit more busy. Smile

Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing, Tushar. Just another thing I have to make sure I don't get too into Wink

I hope those 4 active visitors currently on the site are getting value!

I have had it open in a browser since the past 3 days. I keep looking at it every 5 minutes. :)

Its a total time-waster Laugh
