I am not sure how many of you follow Google from an investment perspective. It had a great quarter and continues to make 85% of its revenue from advertising.

However, one key point for bloggers to know is that CPC trends are down 8% and it's the 8th quarter in a row that it is down. There is a change in the advertisement on how much advertisers are willing to pay and that translate in lower CPC income for bloggers too.

Don't expect any rebounds and plan your monetization strategy accordingly :)

This trend will continue until CPC is no more. People are discovering Adblock and advertisers are realizing the results from CPC ads are not as spectacular as they used to be.

I'm not sure how to monetize in the absence of CPC other than creating products to sale. Make affiliate marketing will take the place of CPC since advertisers only pay for results. It will be interesting to see how this all develops.
