I was reading a post at Keep Up With The Web, Stuart McHenry talks about Google's new Authorship feature that is supposed to increase your visibility and credit as a blogger. I just signed up for Google+ but, I'm lonely and need some friends. So, if your new like me and need to increase your visibility or wouldn't mind including me in your circle let me know and I'll add you.
Thanks,
Jackie

Thanks for the heads-up. Google never released the write portion of their G+ API, which made it very difficult to automatically publish posts on Google+. Now I can see why, because they wanted to control how it was done.
I added you to my PF Bloggers circle.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Love the authorship feature. You can also go to Webmaster Tools and see where it is showing up. If a search visitor goes to your site, and then back to Google, the search window will show other articles by you.

I just got the email from Google informing me that my authorship has been activated. I'm not sure how it will improve visibility, seeing as how all it does is link your google+ profile to anything published and attributed to you. Essentially what it does is put your image and link to G+ profile with the search results that are credited to you, so unless you have pretty high-ranking posts to begin with, it probably won't be that beneficial so far as I can tell.

Thanks @ Edward, this article is the first I've read about Google Authorship. Maybe Eric's right. I'm super new to Google+, so I'm not sure about all the benefits of having an authorship linked to your articles.

The theory is people is more likely to click on the link if your picture is next to it.
So if you search for something and a page of result came up and there is only one picture on the 4th link or something. It's more eye catching.
Try searching for "retire 40". There is only one picture on the whole result page.
I think it helps a bit…

This was a great reminder of something that I had been putting on the back burner. Thanks!
P.S. – I added you to my PF blogger circle as well.

Yeah, it looks like I misunderstood what was going on. Seems I'm still on my own for pushing my posts to G+

Is Google+ effective and worth the time? I haven't signed up yet. I have a hard enough time staying up to date with FB and Twitter.

I've had authorship for a while now because I did the work around that wasted about a day and a half. but I honestly haven't seen increased traffic from it. I am personally more likely to click on a link with a face beside it but that's just me.

Does anyone know how long it takes for it to appear? I set up my blogs and verified them on Friday, but people who search for "semi homemade spaghetti sauce" still aren't treated to my smiling face next to the top listing.
