My search results appear in Google, but my page rank is "0". What gives?

Google only updates the page rank every so often. My site has existed for over 1 year and I am still 0 PR. You should check out some of the posts on MozRank, which updates more often and is very similar.

You'll get one eventually. In January G updated the PR (and a more recent much more quiet update about a month ago) and we weren't included. Many here talked me down from being upset.
Just keep linking to others, getting links back to you and writing great content and they'll assign you a rank eventually.
For the record, we started our site late Nov 2010 and still don't have a PR.

It took a year for me to get ranked. My main domain is PR2 right now.
I have never seen a blog above 5 in what I have seen … I'd be curious to see if there are any above.

I think The Simple Dollar is PR7 and Get Rich Slowly is a PR6.

Yeah, don't get too upset with a PR of 0, I started my site in August 2010, and I'm still a 0 too. There are some advertisers that still focus on it, but I've still done pretty well for myself lately, so it doesn't seem like it makes that much difference. With that being said….. I'd really like to be a PR of something soon though…. haha!

A PR of 7 is out of this world!

Don't sweat it.
Truthfully, I think the days of the PR bar are probably numbered. Google and its quality team have referenced it less, and even backlinks are becoming a less integral part of getting good positions in the SERPs. I have a site that's PR5, and it's no better as a PR5 than it was as a PR3 or a PR6. Linksales aside, having quality links that get you PR are more important than having a good PR.
Waste your worries on something you can control. Google's a finicky little thing.

We are also stuck in PR0 purgatory. It's annoying, but don't let it distract you from creating quality content!

I think a PR of 7 takes years to achieve because you have to create a site that is really authoritative.
