Just as the financial SERPs were mostly demolished, news breaks that Google will release (within the SERPs) it's own results for financial products including savings accounts, credit cards, and other basic financial products.

Check it out: http://www.money.co.uk/article…..e-only.htm

It's supposed to roll out tonight.

This has been in the works for a long time.  I don't know if they still do it, but for a while all #1 ppc spots for credit card terms was for Google's own credit card comparison engine.  It's inevitable that Google will just keep growing and leave countless companies and self employed people in their wake.

Yeah, the Google Advisor thing had disappeared for awhile. I guess they're just rolling out the same thing, except more aggressively in between Adwords and the SERPs. It'll be interesting to see how it looks tomorrow.

And they've been trying to push these products through their own affiliate networks.  I don't like the smell of it, so I'm staying away.  They've killed search results for PF.  Go on, search for something without the personal filter. How relevant are the sites returned?

I'm digging my way out of some serious debt at

Thanks for sharing. It does seem convenient that they are introducing a new product at the same time that they are hitting pf sites with updates.

That stinks but I can't say that I blame them! It's their sandbox, they can do what they want…
