Interesting read.at the end of the day, it sounds sound like Google is treating guest posts any differently then they do regular posts. Quality matters.
The direction I see google moving toward in the future is comparing the relevance of the link to the content and vice versa. To use an example of an incident once requested of me: How does a link to a credit card affiliate site from a post arguing against the use of credit carda help anyone at all besides the affiliate looking to boost their backlink profile?

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Very interesting. I accept a good amount of guest posts, but I try to do a little research before saying yes. Then I try my best to review the post before publishing it to make sure there aren't spelling or grammar issues, but some still get through.

I'm pretty sure spelling and grammar issues plague my site even with my own written posts!

Thanks for posting this article. It was really informative. Especially, for someone like myself who is a new blogger. I''ve only accepted two guest post so far. I definitely had to catch myself when writing each one, which is why I edited again and again before submitting my finalized copies.

Seems to be an attempt to stop the SEO spam guest posting machine. I received multiple emails per week for "guest posts"…I can't imagine how many larger sites get!

OnTargetCoach,
I get inundated, and 98% of the time it's just SEO freelancers or people outside my community who are just spinning content.
People have to be careful not to accept so many of such posts as it will turn off your readership. If the contet is awesome, accept away. Usually the content is horrible.
