Hi all,
I have 2 big projects and a lot of decisions to make in my personal life atm so I am hoping a few of you might be interested in sending through a guest post. I blog about ways to make and save money, some goal setting and bits of my life.
I'm pretty open when it comes to topics but as many of my readers are Australian, there are a few things that don't go down as well such as:
Tax – our tax systems, tax year etc are very different. One example in property our investment properties are tax deductible NOT our place of residence.
Medical – we do have health insurance, but most people don't have it. If you are Aussie and have an accident and get taken to emergency, you get treated and not charged. So the huge medical bills for accidents I hear about in the US aren't as relevant here. Yes, there are things we have to pay for and out of pocket expenses, but for the most part, it's free. Example: 2yrs ago my dad came off his push bike, shattered his pelvis and it nearly killed him. He needed 9 blood transfusions in a week, they had to fly in the best surgeon in Australia to operate, and even he had never seen a pelvis shattered this badly. Long hospital stay, lots of physio, chiro and other therapy, 3 or 4 operations, special equipment while starting to walk again etc. Total cost: $0.
Coupons – we don't have them like you do
So more generic ways to make and save money posts are good, personal stories/experiences are great as well. Btw we spell and say somethings differently, but know the spellings etc in the USA, so when we read your stuff no issues, but when you read mine you might things I can't spell e.g. realise in Aus, realize in US. I won't change that sort of thing in your post, just didn't want you thinking I don't know how to spell :)
Anyway, feel free to email me contact@kylieofiu.com with any post/ask for more info/any ideas etc.
Thanks!
