Well, the title says it all. I noticed a slight growth in my trafic and thought I am doing really great. Then read that that another Panda update – a more nuanced one – has been rolled out yesterday.

Have you noticed anything?

I've seen people talking about this for a few days now, but my traffic has remained stubbornly steady (outside of hosting issues) for the past month and as half.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I've heard that they'll be smaller in scope, but more frequent, and that Google will no longer announce them.   Sounds like it will be mostly speculation at this point.

My SE traffic had a nice bump (20%) since Monday. It's great, but I'm a bit jaded now.

This also came after a steady drop since May so it's just a small recovery.
Google keeps changing and who know what's going to happen next month.

Why can't we have some consistency?

Same here! As to consistency, this is what happens when complexity and monopoly colide.

Do any of you know what exactly was changed in the update? Probably only Google will ever know…

Rumor has it that this one helps make the difference between genuine sites/blogs with juicy content and the ones that only publish links How this can be done I do not know. My guess would be that they could infer it by the standing of domains linking (hard though).

Hence the recovery of some blogs.

I saw an increase, but I am not ready to attribute it to anything other than a normal cycle.  It would be great, if you could point to a piece of good news or change that were reflected in the traffic.  It is a little like the stock market, sometimes it is due to earnings and other times who knows!

I've had a huge bump since the 23rd, came here to see if anyone had seen something happen. The 23rd my usual traffic doubled but the source says (not set) so no way to find out. No I am still at about 25-30% more.

My search traffic has basically doubled starting Monday. Don't know what to attribute that too, other than my awesome writing, haha!

Along those lines, I have one post that's all of a sudden generating about 50% of my search traffic. I went through it yesterday and added some internal links in the hopes that people might click around a little more, but no effect so far. Any other tips on how to handle a post that's all of a sudden getting a lot of traffic? (Well, "a lot" is pretty relative. It's a lot for me but we're talking 20-25 visits each of the last 4 days).

I've seen a nice bump in SE traffic myself – not quite doubling, but very close. Whatever is the cause, I'll take it.  Smile

when I got one of those I put internal links and also embedded some affiliate links too.  Seemed to work.

I've been a bit out of reach for a while so I haven't paid that much attention to traffic. I've found that it's much more enjoyable to blog when it doesn't matter how many people find you on google. But with all that said, I agree with most of you, why not a little more consistency.

Our search traffic actually tanked right around that timeframe. Dropped something like 75% for a week. Then I was on vacation for the past few weeks and it seems to have come back to higher than the level we were at before the tank. Gotta love the google dance.

Google has always liked my writing.  I may just write about weird things or something, but I find that I've always risen to the top of search listing when I write articles about something REALLY specific extremely quickly.  This was true in 2002, when I first began blogging, and it's true now.
