Hello to all,
I was just wondering if there is a possible way to hide my username on wordpress? I have my nickname currently set to MyCanadianFinances but when I created the account I named the account with my real name. This name shows up when you click on my nickname. Is there any way to hide this aside from making a new user account to post with?
Doesn't really bother to have people know my real name, just an added bit of security I would like to have.
Thanks to all.

The username can't be changed. Might as well add a new user.

Get the Edit Author Slug plugin, currently at version 0.8.1 just in case there are similar named plugins… it will add a field to your author profile to change the slug used in the url.

On my version of wordpress there is a nickname field that you can fill and and will substitute for all instances of the username automatically, without changing anything else. That's what I used when I went from posting as "admin" to "Karl" on my site anyway.

I did the same, but when you click on your name the URL is http://www.cultofmoney.com/author/admin/.
Mine instead of 'admin' it had my real name(As that was what I used to sign up)
