I've used Dreamhost for hosting for several years now with very few issues, but for the last few months it's been a nightmare with recurring outages and slow loading times. I'm on a shared server and currently using Dreamhost's $8.95 a month "unlimited" plan (which isn't really unlimited given their small server memory limits), but am considering a dedicated server. I know there are no perfect hosting companies, but if you love yours can you let me know? I know I can count on Yakezie members for some unbiased reviews, and I thank you in advance!

I use hostgator and have had a really good experience so far. I've never had any outages or downtime & the couple times I've had to use customer service they've been fast & helpful.

I've used hostgator (aff) for the last few years and I recommend them completely! I have only had 2 outages on my site, and a quick chat (over IM) with their customer service got the problems fixed within a few minutes both times.
I have a few active (about 6) sites and a lot more less active (about 15) sites on my hosting plan, and I haven't had any problems with exceeding limits (I have the middle plan of their 3 options, I forget the name).

I love inmotion hosting. I think they are great and I host my site there. Never had any issues with them. One time when I had malware issue on site they even helped me diagnose it.
Highly recommend.

I upgraded to Liquid Web (aff link) for several of my site and love them. I know several other bloggers that use them, too. I can call them and they will answer and help me. Something I was not accustomed to with my previous host. Came in handy when I accidentally deleted Dollars and Roses one day. Yes, somehow I managed to delete the entire site.
For GFC, I'm currently on WP Engine. They are a lot more expensive but have a nice little niche focusing on wordpress sites. I got bumped to the $250/mo hosting package due to my traffic (Good problem to have?) but I then moved my wife's site and another site over, too. And since my wife's site is very picture heavy and gets more traffic than me now, it's been worth it. They also have great customer service.

I offer hosting. Lots of Yakezies host with me. Dom from Your Finances Simplified would be a good one to talk to for a reference – I moved him from Dreamhost for the same reasons.

I really appreciate this feedback. I have four sites I need to move – one large one with lots of images (Happy Simple Living) and three smaller ones. I will check out all of these options, and welcome additional recommendations. Thanks so much!

I'm also with Liquid Web (their Storm on Demand side). Excellent customer service!

I'm another happy Hostgator customer. Here is a coupon code if you are interested: YAKEZIE25P (that is a code for 25% off for Yakezie bloggers)

I will also vouch for Hostgator. My site does not load terribly fast, but their support is great. Make sure you take advantage of the help videos if you go with them.

I decided to move Happy Simple Living over to HostGator. Tons of people are posting about similar outages at Dreamhost (my site has been down 15 times in the 24 hours) and I'm desperate for a fast, easy solution. I used KNS Financial's affiliate link to sign up, and thanks to the coupon code Eric at Narrow Bridge supplied (YAKEZIE25P – a code for 25% off for Yakezie bloggers) the cost for the first six months is just $48. HostGator even takes care of transferring one site, so I'm hopeful that this hosting nightmare will be over soon. Thanks again to all of you for sharing your suggestions! And Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.
