Okay, here is what I'm taking away:
1) Whatever you want to do the time to start is now. You already are, you are not becoming (as in 'I'm a writer', 'I'm a blogger' etc.).
2) It almost matters more how you say things that what you say.
3) Personal finance bloggers kid themselves they are the best paid on the web. Mummy bloggers charge about 30% more that us.
4) When you think 'blog', think 'pog' – this is for 'personal, orifinal and giving' (according the the Mr Money Mustache team)
5) Your audience decided what you should become.
6) Stop moaning and go sell something (if you want to make a living).
7) Writing books makes sense.
On top of this, FinCon14 confirmed that this crowd can party (and I mean really party) and that PT Taylor knows how to throw a party (being led to the Ignite talk by a jazz band was something else).
That's it.
