I think I already have since I hit my $2500 a month goal (what I needed to make on average for 4 months straight), but it will really sink in around September when I give my 2 weeks notice at my day job.
Congrats!

TFB,
You're in another universe compared to most of us. Congrats and thanks for helping out us rookies!
I still have a lot to learn… I think that you never completely make it… unless your name is Flexo ;-D

Not sure at this point if I really want to "make it." I like my blog to earn a little money and to be fun and enjoyable. I am afraid if I ever get to the "made it" category I will no longer enjoy doing what I am doing. I guess right now I would just be happy if Google would recognize me with a PR!!!

TFB,
Haha, good one! I wonder if Flexo feels he made it.

TSS,
Good point, if we made it, might not enjoy it as much… Need to find that balance. Would be nice to get a PR, too!

I think that would happen if other bloggers looked at me and were inspired by what I've accomplished. Of course, since I haven't accomplished anything yet, I am a far way away from that. Having the respect of others in the "business" would be one sign of "making it".
The other for me would be a full-time income from my websites.
Lastly, when my main site is viewed as a resource for financial information, and my opinion is valued on a wide range of topics, then I will feel that I have made it.
Of course, once that happens, new goals will be in front of me, and I won't think that I have "made it" because I'll have so far to go to my next goals!

I agree with $10k a month. That is a solid income stream.

Hey Khaleef,
Good luck with your goals! Interesting point about making it, but new goals will make you feel you haven't. So shouldn't we at least take a moment to enjoy the "made it" point. If we keep chasing goals to rigorously, it would be someone making tons of money, but not totally enjoying the fruits of the labor.
