I love checking out my RSS reader. I skim titles and posts. I don't need to read how to save 45 cents on lighting so it takes less than 5 seconds to mark "read" and go on to the next post.
I also check out Yakezie Lists like the one found on Crystal's site and I will VISIT each site (with the alexa toolbar) and comment when I feel the need because that is where this group started.
I didn't know anybody was looking at my list, so I replaced it last week with a better description of the group and a link to the Yakezie list here. I can bring it back though if it was helpful. I use the same one as Deliver Away Debt. :-)
On second thought, I'm definitely bringing it back since it had challengers too. I'm replacing it now.

Crystal,
Thanks for bringing it back – you should clean it up (there were a couple sh!tty commercial sites and sites that haven't updated since September)

I'll take a more detailed look when I have time again later this week (I did this before but I deleted that list already). In the meantime, if any current Yakezie participators don't see yourself on my list, please let me know via my contact page or budgetingfunstuff *at* gmail *dot* com, thanks! Simple. I read 300+ posts and articles per day.
My Google Reader stats:
From your 195 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read
9,216 items, clicked 75 items, starred 4 items, shared 288 items, and emailed 1
items.
Since June 4, 2009 you have read a total of 177,726 items
Of the 195 subscriptions, 2 of them are aggregated feeds(using Yahoo pipes) containing about 100 actual news feed, filtered for keywords.
Hey Jason! This is an impressive amount of reading! Wow! I definitely need to start reading more posts than I currently do. I think it may be one of my New Year's Resolutions! haha

My method is a disaster. I do have my regular haunts that I go to daily, but my google RSS feed is maxed out at 150ish feeds and I can't add more without deletiing others..so now I'm putting some stuff on google reader and other stuff in email updates, so it's all over the board.
I also use the Yakezie 100 list and the Wisebread 100 list as well.
I would like anyone's input on the best format to for consolidation of content in one spot.
The other thing would be a good way to sort out dead blogs periodically.
I wish I were more organized with this stuff.

I usually subscribe to sites via email rather than rss. That way, it goes to my inbox, so I'm at least forced to read the title for new updates. It can be a pain to get so many emails sometimes, but it forces you to actually keep up to date.

Er, I don't. I'm an expert skimmer now. I try to read full posts if they seem interesting and leave the rest for others to enjoy. You just can't read everything.

I have like 10k plus unread items in my reader. To be completely honest i mostly follow people via twitter. I follow them there and when they post links to their site, i go read, comment, etc.

I guess this is why eye-capturing titles are soooo important! No more of the roth vs. traditional type titles for me. Is going to be more of a "Why the Roth can Kick the Traditional's A$$ any time of the day!" hahaha. Joking. But, then again.

loved the thoughts on prioritizing. agreed there is not enough time in a day. there are a core group of blogs i stick to, but only once a week. i may read multiple posts at that time, but once a week nonetheless. when i guest post, i ensure i am available to interact and answer questions posted by others. other than those days, i stick to my once a week routine. nothing is ever urgent enough . . .
