Hey all, just curious if anyone knows how long it takes for a new site to get an Alexa ranking? I've installed the toolbar and about a week in, my site is still showing "No Data" when I check the ranking. They appear to average things over 1 day, 7 day, 1 month, and 3 month periods so it seems like it should start showing up within a few days at the most. Thanks.

Hmm, my Alexa badge has been displaying 'no data' for the last two days and was working flawlessly for months before. Is this perhaps a temporary glitch?

Not sure. The Alexa toolbar shows you at 326k even though the widget is reporting no data. But for me, the toolbar says no data.

I'm curious about this also. CFYC is showing no ranking, but my personal "life" blog is at 20mil… I assume that's because my life blog started over 2 years ago and CFYC was up and running in July.
Any ideas?

Hard to believe they couldn't collect any data between July and now.

Yeah – which is why I'm just as confused about the "no rank" showing as you are.

Okay, just a quick update. I was wrong before, it had only be a few days. It's now been 8 days (beginning of second week since installing toolbar) and I'm now showing an Alexa rank instead of "No Data." Not sure if it's coincidental or if it takes a week of data before they assign you a number.

That's great Michael. It's amazing how quickly your Alexa ranking drops being on Yakezie. I don't know if Alexa is a fair ranking system but I like it nonetheless!

Glad you're seeing a rank now. I *think* the rankings are updated every few days. At least that's how long my rank seems to stay in one spot.

Well I just went to the actual Alexa website and put in your web address, Michael (http://www.financialramblings.com/) and can see that it's 11,743,192. So you do have an alexa ranking (congrats on the internet recognizing you exist ). As far as the toolbar or whatever not working for you, maybe reinstall? I have the Alexa widget that shows my ranking on my site at the bottom and the first time I put it in there, it didn't work for weeks. I thought the internet just didn't think I was worthy of a ranking. So I took it down and threw away the widget. A couple days later I decided that I really did want it there, and so I reinstalled the widget and bam!, there was my score. I don't know what the deal is. But anything involving website stuff not working should have the first thing you try be to reinstall, lol.

Hi TB: Four posts above yours, I noted that (as of this morning) I do have ranking. Previously, both the toolbar and the website reported "No Data" — but no longer! Thanks for checking.
