I like using the Alexa bar because it shows each sites ranking, but I'm always curious as to how many viewers your sites gets a month, so, how many viewers does your site get a month?

Posted in my monthly stats & round-up.  My numbers aren't anywhere close to those above!  Jeesh.  Do you guys get heavy social bookmarking traffic?  I was doing that, but traffic is "meh" at best, it seems.

I had 3,000 visits in April, and 2,200 in May. Not sure how this compares to blogs in my peer group with about 3 months online.

3,000 visits are 3 months online is incredibly good. I think it took me 6 months to break 3,000. Smile

Do I have my analytics installed wrong or something? I've been running for almost 6 months now with about 900 visits per month.

I have about 10,000 pageviews a month, but only around 2400 unique visitors. I'm astounded by some of these numbers!

Also, 19,087 pageviews, so 3.37 per visit.  My number one search engine post is about my student loan provider, and the users usually click to all the articles I wrote about them (3 all together).

@ Crystal – Hot damn, your SE traffic has really taken off!

@ sooverdebt – Something tells me you're going to be a problogger in no time.  I have a feeling your blog is going to grow insanely fast…

@TCI – I need to work on getting my pages per visitor up.  Search engine traffic has been poor in that regard, mostly because 1) I don't interlink as well as I should (I'm going to add linkedwithin soon) and 2) because I don't have many "series" articles.  My goal has been to work on writing related articles for linking them together.  The weird thing is that I get a high bounce rate from SE visitors, but those who view >1 page usually view 5+, and spend more than 20 minutes on the site, which I'm very happy about.  I'd be happier if I could get more of them to stick around for that long, but most SE visitors are looking for a quick and dirty answer, and my blog is centered around content that is anything but a quick and dirty answer.  Those are some great stats, though!

Does anyone have any comments on social bookmarking traffic?  It seems hit or miss.  I'm thinking that if I'm going to use more SB promotion that I'll need to write more "# reasons, ways, etc." posts intended for quick consumption.  Maybe I'll mix in one a week, though that's not really my style. This post: http://moneymamba.com/5-effect…..card-fees/ was kind of a test for that, and it did pretty well relative to others.  Same thing with http://moneymamba.com/obamas-s…..uts-chart/ which actually went viral enough that it dominated the search engines.  Unfortunately, state of the union traffic was temporary. Yell

Not at all Latisha–my numbers were about 300 for the first six months I blogged as well. You're fine! I am now at around 4,000-5,000 visits per month with 3,000 unique visits, and around 8,000-9,000 pageviews. But I've been blogging for over two years.
