I received this email below and wondering what you would propose and charge. I already write for them at good rates for an unrelated industry (not PF, $, or business)

Would you be interested in getting the word out about XXXX.  Contacting newspapers, forums, … Whatever will help us get more exposure?
How much would you charge for this?

If you have thoughts online or offline, I need help. I don't want to screw myself or my current client.

Thanks,
Brent

Good luck. Have you tried googling the service to see if competitors have prices posted? If I had done that, I would probably be charging 3X what I am for ebook formatting!

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Brent, just my opinion, its not a question of how much do you charge.  Its about do you have a track record of doing that kind of work, and it sounds like PR & marketing.  If marketing & pr is not your speciality, don't take it on just to make some money.  YOur time is more valuable, when something is not a person expertise.  a person will spend to much time trying to learn the craft.  You can focus that time and energy on expanding your business and continuing to build your blog platform.

Have your contact hire a reputable person or co that handles that type of work.  But if you want to spend time focusing on their needs, charge what you know your worth, take into account you time, and the results the contact will achieve with them working with you.  Lets us know what you decide.

Thanks for the feedback. I am thinking of proposing a social media manger type position or at the very least commenting services. I'll charge for my time for sure. I'll let ya'll know what happens.
