Hey everyone,

One of the most popular post on my site is – How to cheat at Zynga poker…

It is completely irrelevant to the rest of the site and has nothing to do with personal finance…

This dumb page gets 50+ views from SE traffic everyday and keeps getting more popular.

Any idea on how to convert this traffic into readers or buyer?

I put a poker chip banner from CJ on the post, but I don't think it even gets any clicks much less sales.

http://retireby40.org/2011/12/…..nga-poker/

Anyway, if you have any idea let me know. Smile

thanks!

Great thread RB40!

I too have a post I have NO idea how to monetize!

Our article: Netflix Sucks in Canada gets a TON of SE traffic and I have no idea how to take advantage.

If anyone has any ideas, I am open to them.

Just looking through CJ I'd recommend trying GameHouse (under Games & Toys) seems to be pretty similar to Zynga and pays per lead.  Using banners are nice, but you'll get a better click through rate working the link into the post text somewhere.

There's also the chance of legalized online gambling in the US which will open up affiliate opportunities.

Amazon ads for a smartphone, maybe?  Probably won't convert that many, but I'd imagine the commission on such a sale is pretty steep.

Do you guys have Red Box? I did a quick check online and I see zip.ca (similar?.)

I'll try the gaming link on my Zynga post.

I agree with JP that text links might work well.

You could weave some text links to commission payers into some of the keywords.

For example you say : "Anyway, I think Zynga poker is a bit like video poker in that they are both rigged."

"video poker" could be a text link to a video poker book at Amazon with an Amazon Associates commission link.

Or you could use an ebay affiliate link to point people to "Zynga poker" search on ebay.

Either of these might give you a bit of revenue from people randomly following the Amazon or ebay links then getting distracted and buying something else on Amazon or Ebay.
