I'm trying to figure out the best way to upload .pdf's to my site without bogging down the server too much.

Essentially, I'm trying to include a link where if somebody needed to download a form, they would click the link and the .pdf would then open.

I'm sure this is a basic question Embarassed, just never needed to do it before.  Laugh

Just like uploading a picture – you upload the PDF.  When you link to the PDF (just like you would a picture), it would open just like following a normal link.

I'm thinking you can put the pdf up on Amazon and have people download it from there.

Another option is to upload the pdf to Google docs and just include the link in the post. That's what I do for all of my files.

I used the same route as The College Investor suggests. Works fine, but you can't track the stats.

You can if you're using StatCounter. It's useless for traffic but I love it for keywords and downloads.

<Biff> That's me slapping my forehead because I should have realized it was that easy.

I still haven't gone the Amazon route but would like to.  Right now I'm too scared to learn something new.  :)

I'm not sure if your talking about their cloud storage, or maybe some other service they have, but if you are referring to the Kindle store, they only sell Kindle (mobi) files. (<plug>which I make<plug>)

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon
