Hey guys!

We've all been working hard on promoting our finance sites. I'm just curious, how would you promote a fitness site?

I recently launched http://kettlebellrebels.com with about 20 articles. I've done challenges, ate vegan, took pictures of myself, and so on. How would you get the word out now?

Hey Martin! I'm still trying to figure out the same thing with FGSW. There doesn't seem to be any real network of fitness blogs around. They all seem to function independently and I have definitely gained more traction with YouTube and social media than I have with the actual website.

Man you think finance is competitive. Fitness is much more so. Everyone is a fitness guru and there are tons of videos and articles on the topic every single day. The best way to get an audience is make an impact. If you go from looking like the number 10 to looking like a 10 you will definitely start to create a buzz.

The name of the site is great. What kind of traffic do you get? Kettle bells are more and more popular.

I did a before and after insanity video and it did a little buzz for a few weeks. But I didn't need to lose a lot to begin with and although the results are great the before and after isn't wow. Unless of course if you are looking at my tan. :)

Traffic is slow. I just recently started publishing.

So you're saying that it's more competitive than finance? I love the challenge!

I actually have a 21-day challenge up on the site right now where I'm trying to see what sort of results are possible in 21 days.

What are some of your favorite fitness sites?

I would see if you could guest post on some bigger fitness sites like Nerd Fitness or Hybrid Athlete.

The thing is, I don't know any fitness sites and I don't read any fitness blogs, so I wouldn't even know where to start to find them. It is much easier on YouTube or social media, but those are much more difficult to control or monetize. There is a conference called Fitbloggin happening this week, so I plan to monitor it closely in order to find some sites to network with.
