Hey everybody!  You may have noticed that a couple of great carnivals, the Carnival of Personal Finance and Carnival of Money Stories, have been closed down recently because they could not find enough hosts.  That has me scared for the carnival I started, the Totally Money Blog Carnival.  So, here I go:

Please sign up to host Totally Money.  I am not opposed to begging.  As past posts can attest, I send out a very informative email before your scheduled hosting date and link back to my hosts 2-3 times on Budgeting in the Fun Stuff as well.  Hosts will have a permanent place on the annual hosting lists on Totally Money too.  And this is not a rinky-dink carnival – it gets 40 plus submissions every week from a ton of respected bloggers. 

AND, to sweeten the pot, if you awesome bloggers help me fill in the whole year by May 31st, 2011, I will donate $100 to charity (the Alzheimer's Association) in honor of the Totally Money Crew of 2011!

Fine print:  I do not make anything monetary off of Totally Money.  I have yet to sale advertising.  I think it may make something in the future, but that's not its primary purpose.  I like how blog carnivals help the hosts and the participants.  I like knowing I was able to develop a carnival that seems very respected despite its age.  I want it to make it long-term.  That is my motivation to beg frequently.

Are you sure about Carnival of PF?  Flexo put out a call for hosts and got filled up really quickly.  He mentioned to me that our site would get another crack at hosting it in the fall some time.

The Carnival of Personal Finance is certainly not closed down. We get more than enough host requests to continue for quite a long time, and we now book up to 6 months in advance. If you'd like to host, just head on over to carnivalofpersonalfinance.com (but since this thread is about the Totally Money Blog Carnival, head over there first — I don't intend on hijacking the thread).

I'd love to see an email that claims it's shut down….

I'm not old enough to host.  :(  Maybe once I'm potty trained. 

Ashley, that is to weed out new bloggers that I don't know (ones that seem fly by night). You are more than welcome to host!

I'm so glad to hear PF Carnival isn't shut down! I like that one! 

I am so bummed about the Carnival of Money Stories.  I was scheduled to host it in June, but I guess its off the calendar now.
