We did receive multiple offers of $1,000.00+ (whether I took one of them or sold for slightly less, I will never say), but I have sold brokeprofessionals.com. More details to follow but you should know the buyer.
I will stick around for so long as the new owner will have me, to post a couple of times a week as an employee of the site. I think it will be a great fit and will help take brokeprofessionals to the next level.
Also, if anyone wants to hire me as a freelance writer, I certainly will have more time on my hands now, so shoot me an email.
I will be around so this isn't goodbye. But thanks to everyone for your support of the site, etc. I hope you will keep coming out as it transitions over the next few days/weeks/etc.

Congrats on being able to get done what you've been talking about. That was really quick, and goes to show the quality of work that you had put into the site. The site had/has some real potential in my view.
Anyway, glad you'll still be around. Considering the good posts you published on BP, you just might get some takers on your freelancing interests….

Bittersweet. Sad to see you move on, but very happy that you got exactly what you wanted. More free time, sell site to someone who could take it to the next level. Sounds like a win win scenario. Can't wait to see the new owner. Wow, more drama in the blog world. Congrats and glad you'll still be around!

Dude that was too fast!
you should have emailed me ;-)
$1,000 for 5,000 visitors per month is definitely not enough.
sending you an email for freelance writing…

I know this will sound silly, but this news makes me really sad. But I am happy for you as you were able to do what you wanted to do, and that is to sell.

It wasn't even TFB? Heh! I was hoping you would have held on to the site, but in the end if this is what will satisfy you the most then it may be the best decision.

TFB has created a monster….there are a lot of people interested in buying sites now. I think BP is going to go to another level with the new buyer and I am happy I will get to post 2x a week, so long as the new owner will have me. I am also starting work as a freelancer which I find more suitable perhaps for my lifestyle right now. I may start another site or two as well down the road. What I won't be doing is abandoning the Yakezie and all it's awesome blogs/bloggers. I will keep reading, commenting and hopefully contributing, just in various forms. The fact that some of you find it to be sad or a bad decision in some ways makes me feel appreciated in a weird way. We have a lot of debt to pay off and I am sure everyone will in one way or another get to follow along in our story. Thanks again for everyone's help and support. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with all of you, and perhaps now you all have a better idea of what your own blogs are worth.

Well this is good to know in case I ever want to sell my blog.
It's definitely not for sale, but I'm at about 4,000 visits a month and 3,000 unique visitors, so I have an idea of what I could get for it if I wanted to get out.

Wow lot of anticipation to see the new "owner". That would be me folks.
Though I didn't think of me as a new owner, more like a partnership. Funny how it turned out. I sent him an entirely different proposal and ended up here. I was not remotely planning on buying any blogs (TFB & BFS have no competition from me). I wanted to start another one myself where my husband and I could write together, with a more personal touch than Wealth Informatics. I know I can't add a full time blog without ignoring WI and my other blogs, so a partnership was perfect. We are broke professionals ourselves (my husband and I). I hope this will be a good deal for all the "broke professionals" (the 4 of us) and more than anything, the readers. We look forward to bring in our own finance/professional struggles as immigrants to this country.
But I will need your continued support to make this a success. I hope I will get the same love and support as BP got. And I promise I will work for it!

I would have bought it… too late! I'm usually interested in blog with more than 10,000 visits/month but BP's writing style (and cheap price due to PR0, young age and lack of monetization) made it very interesting for me ;-)
@BP I know, I am creating several monsters… in fact, I'm secretly building an army… mwhahahaha!
I want to all US blogs to be in the hand of Canadians hehehe (evil smile!)
@Kevin,
The best way to sell your blog is to show some $ to the potential buyers ;-) but 4,000 visits is already a good base :-)

Awesome people. Awesome fit.
We're on board – just let us know if you'd like to collaborate someday. Our plan was to do so with Mr. & Mrs. BP someday – the husband/wife thing and such.

Well, since I already congratulated the seller, I'll now congratulate the new buyer:) Glad for your new opportunity Suba, it's a blog with a great start, and it seems like it's a good fit for you based on what you said. Seems like a win-win.

Wow, nice end/beginning to the story. Congrats BP and Suba! At least it was kept out of TFB's hands! He's got too many anyway.
