If you feel like doing more…  What factors play the biggest role in whether or not I'll retire comfortably? Is it the funds I pick, the amount of money I save, how often I rebalance, etc? – FF at FeelingFinancial.com

Great idea! My question is a piggyback on Jeff's about whole life insurance.

Q: In what situations is it better to have whole life, universal life, variable life, or other investment-based insurances?

I think we're up to 17. I'm going to start at the beginning and answer one question a week on Thursday's. I'll keep everyone updated in this thread.

I'm working on the 1st one from the College Investor for this week!

Anyone who is more of a life insurance expert than I am is welcome to join in and pick one of the insurance questions to answer on my site. (There may be a freelance compensation involved as well). Email me if interested @ barbfriedberg gmail.

Thanks to all !!!

Here's my questions:

Is it better to fund a Roth IRA or a 401K if I can't fund both?

Thanks for answering these, love the new idea for your blog.

HI Money, So glad. I'm pretty proud of it myself. It's a complicated topic and I hope I broke it down for folks looking to decide.

THanks to all who read it.

Here's my Q:

I know I should have some bonds in my portfolio, but the rates are still near record lows.  Should I still invest in bonds, knowing there's a decent chance I will lose money over the short to intermediate term?

Serious question, and I keep punting from making the decision.  :)

Feel free to include a link to me!  Thanks

Biggest question: "What should investors do once they understand that the financial industry takes over 1/3 of their gross investment returns every year, while it adds only a small fraction of that in value?"

Thanks for the new question Larry.

The latest question is live this week from

Graham from Moneystepper asks;

What metric (rule of thumb) would you recommend for asset allocation based on age and risk appetite?

Here is the post I'd love your opinion and feedback

Thanks for all the great questions

Is purchasing foreclosed real estate a smart investment with so many renters and so few home buyers on the market?
