This is now the second time in 3 weeks that someone has gotten the password to my twitter account and started posting random posts. Luckily, it has not been anything obscene, but still, extremely frustrating.
I have randomly generated a password, and even change it frequently, but I still seem to have the same problem.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, any advice?

Do you get a bunch of emails from Twitter that when you click on them, it asks for your login info? I've begun to receive a lot of these and have realized that they are from hackers…Have to be careful!

The crazy thing is that I have not gotten any spam type emails. Just the email from Twitter saying that I need to reset mypassword b/c they shut down my account due to suspicious activity. Strange.

That is odd – please let us know if you get to the bottom of it.

Interesting. My password I created the first time was difficult, or so I thought. It said "Strong" according to Twitter. I made my second one even more random, so hopefully that worked. Still strange to me though.

1. Virus scan the hell out of your computer
2. Where do you log on to Twitter? Home, other places? Are the other computers safe?
3. Get LastPass (free). No one will be able to break in if you have a 16 digit randomized alpha-numeric password.

Thanks Narrowbridge. I actually have been researching password sites, so that is great to have a recommendation!
