Congratulations.

Just curious, what are your plans for the certification?

Currently I am with a great company that I have great potential with. It is an institutional investment consulting firm. So I plan to stay here and see where that takes me. I'm still pretty young in my career so my focus right now is just completing the charter.

That's fantastic.  Best of luck to you.  Crossing my fingers they won't make you take CIMA too.

If anything the next would be CAIA depending on what vertical I take. Then I'm considering MBA if I decide to go into business for myself down the line. I think I would make great connections at a top school.

Congrats! That's awesome.

Funny story: a friend of mine passed the first portion of the CFA. He spent a year studying for the 2nd part, showed up to the exam and his Driver's License was expired so HE COULDN'T TAKE IT! He had to wait an entire year to take it. Needless to say he was pissed.

Congratulations! I need to take the exam as well, but I haven't made time because I don't have the work experience yet.

Maybe you should make a site around your studying, like Pat Flynn did. Knowing you, you probably have already! Wink

It's still in development :)

Hahaha…I knew it! I'll definitely be following.

Ouch! Yeah, they send out reminder emails to make sure your identification is exactly what they have on file. The exam is only once a year so that is something I would definitely check beforehand. They only take passports now though.
