What up Yakezie!   First off, I'm typically not a hard seller.  Never been my thing.  Never will be.  But I would also be silly to at least not make aware of my services.

As I continue to figure this online thing out and how to actually make money off of it, one way that I've found is to offer term life insurance.   It's something that most people need, I'm a big believer in it, so it only makes sense.   I've been somewhat secretly building out a life insurance site and I'm currently licensed in like 12 states now and continue to get licensed in new ones as new clients come in.   If you're looking to purchase some, I would at least ask that you consider me.  I'm independent so I can pretty much use anyone under the sun.   Thanks for you consideration.  Laugh

Helping you get paid

I'm also toying with a bit of an affiliate/lead campaign.  If you think you could get some life insurance conversions, consider it.  If your blog doesn't get much traffic surrounding life insurance then it probably wouldn't make sense.

Essentially, I'm looking at a pay per lead campaign plus a % of the premium if the lead completes the process.   That way you make some up front and potentially even more if the case closes.   If you're curious, just message me or email me and we can talk specifics.   Thanks y'all!

I'm planning a "why I chose term life" post in the future. I may hit you up, but not sure when I'll be finishing the article.

If you want to hold off a bit, there may be another "movement" in the near future and it just may be surrounding life insurance, so that would be a good time to post it.  Wink

#lifeinsurancemovement is coming.  Cool

I already have whole life insurance through a reputable company – I'm just curious… do you offer this as well? Is term life easier to get licensed for?

I do offer whole life as well, but have to admit I'm more a term guy.

As far as licensing, once you get your insurance license you can sell term, whole life, universal life, equity indexed, etc.   You can also certain type of annuities (fixed, immediate, equity indexed, etc).

The only thing you cant sell would be variable annuities and variable universal life.  You would also need a securities license (Series 6 or 7).

I used to have the 7, but gave it up because of my blog.  Too much compliance to deal with.

@Evan & @Jeff, thanks for the education! My curiosity got the best of me. I know a lot of people prefer term (for many obvious reasons). If I ever decide to get an additional plan, I'll contact you and see what you can offer me. ;)

There's a valid use for each type: whole, term, universal, & variable that can be applied to everyone.  The important thing is that your insurance agent understands what you're trying to accomplish and recommend the right thing.  Always do research and make sure that you and your AGENT understands how the insurance will accomplish what you're looking to do.

Most agents only learn one or two things and that's what they sell because that's what they're comfortable with.  I run an insurance brokerage and we review every single proposals that our agents give out to customers to make sure that it's done right.  Many of our agents have been in the business for 10+ years but they all have biases.

You definitely should have life insurance, especially if you have family. I definitely would look forward to a life insurance movement.
