Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share a little story about how I almost got on the Anderson Cooper daytime show. The short story is I talked to a producer and was told they were working out travel plans to get me to NYC to put my prenup video on TV and do a live interview  , and then I got a call back saying they didn't need me anymore.

Anyway, I was hoping I could get the Yakezie community behind me and try to encourage the show to put me (or any financial blogger) on TV. I think it's a great way to get our collective message out.
Imagine if lots of Yakezie members sent a tweet to @Anderson saying something like “@Anderson I heard @kevin_is_money might be on the show. I’d DEFINITELY watch that episode!” or “@Anderson you have to talk to @kevin_is_money about his financial music videos” or something like that.
I hope you enjoy the story, thanks for your help if you decide to send a tweet.

Loved the post. Sounds like a whirlwind of a 24-hour-or-so period with lots of ups and downs, but I suppose that's the life. I mentioned in a comment on your site that you probably have a good chance of staying on their radar given that your video isn't time sensitive. Hopefully there's a round two for you on this one!

That sounds like an awesome opportunity. I'm sorry this one didn't work out, but I know that you will get others. I'm convinced quality does win out, even if it takes some times to get noticed.

I knew that you'd get some attention from larger, mainstream media for those videos. It's great stuff, and I especially enjoyed the prenup one.

Sorry to hear it didnt work out in the end, you have my support. I would be going nuts at the thought of going on the show!

Apparently the tweets got someone's attention. I got a DM from the producer I spoke with other the weekend asking that I don't share details of the show before it airs, and reiterating that she will keep me in mind for the future. I think I might have upset her a little bit. Oops…
It's good to know that we can get their attention. Hopefully they see that there is a big personal finance following and they would do well to bring a PF blogger on the show. We can probably stop tweeting now, as we've already gotten their attention.
