I was going through Smart Passive Income earlier and came across a great video Pat Flynn did with Corbett Barr called

It covered an assortment of topics relating to generating traffic and how to become known in your niche even as a noob.  One of the biggest points in the discussion was the fact that content alone won't bring the traffic in and the importance of building relationships (something I truly believe in and mention in a number of responses in the forums).  If you ever had question about how to generate real traffic or what to do when you are just getting started with a site, you should definitely watch the video.
