As I woke up this morning, blurry-eyed and all, I grabbed my phone to check my blog email (am I the only one who does this?). Michelle at making Sense of Cents had tweeted a picture of me that said "You're on the front page of Yahoo!".
I clicked the picture to find my wife and I (and my dog) on the front page of Yahoo! with my mortgage ReFi article. Traffic is through the roof (already broken record day) and I'm getting tons of emails asking for my mortgage broker info.
What a fun way to start Thursday, plus now my dog's famous!

Thanks Maria! :)
Holly (or Greg, not sure),
I joined the Yahoo contributors network and submitted my ReFi article.
Check it: contributor.yahoo.com/
I had someone from Yahoo contact me, but I think you can just join.

That's great, man. Congrats.
I explored the Yahoo! contributor network when I first started blogging, but then I was anonymous. If I remember correctly, you have to give them your real name and I wasn't up for that at the time.

Gotta love those! Nice work!
Just gotta be in it long enough and good things will happen.

Thanks everyone. It was quite the ride yesterday. Got like 50 emails asking for ReFi help, some people who hated my article, and almost 300 comments on the article, half of which were pretty mean. But hey, it's the internet on a big scale, and hate just means I'm doing something right :)

Congratulation! So how many pageviews did you ended up getting? Just curious.

Some obvious tips – You should add a couple of links to your site from the articles you send to Yahoo.
These links should point to a post with affiliate links in them.
For example you probably could have made a few sales with Quicken Loans if you point the Yahoo traffic to a page on your site with more info.
Targeted traffic is great for affiliate sales.

Thanks! I was allowed the one link in the bio, but will barter for more in the future.
As for pageviews, let's just say it was what Sam probably sees on a slow day ;)

Congratulations and good work handling those comments with restraint. Those big news sites really bring out the crazies!

That is great! I agree. Don't read too much into Yahoo comments. Most of the people there are troll and hate mongers.

This is awesome. As a stupid new guy, I didn't even know this was out there, so I will definitely look into as well. Congratulations!
