I did it!! In 53 days, I've gone from a 4.9 million Alexa Rank to 194,918!!! I never thought I would hit this goal so fast. Thank you all for your support! :)

Eeek! Great question! I was so busy focusing on this one that I made the cardinal mistake of not setting a goal before my original goal was hit! Now that I'm below 200,000, I really want to focus on monetizing my site. Since Google Adsense only brings in a few pennies a day, I really need to look into some affiliate programs or find a way to reach those that would like to advertise directly on my site. Any suggestions?

re: monetization. We've been looking into this a bit more as well. Our affiliate links haven't done much for us, Adsense a tiny bit.
We hope that getting to 200k and learning of the resources of the Yakezie Network will generate some leads.

First congrats on the accomplishment a sub 200K alexa ranking is FANTASTIC!
I have said this privately (and publically through comments) is that focusing on just alexa will not increase income. Your rating dropped because awesome Yakezie members visited your site with the tool bar rather than sustainable growth through search engines. If I were you and all those others wondering how to increase adsense do yourself a favor and read these two guides 4 times and then start acting on their advice:

I do realize that this does not mean immediate success by any means, but it's merely something that I can check off the list and maintain while I truly improve the readership of my blog. Thanks for the info!
