SPF- Zemanta looks pretty cool and it appears to handle all copyright attribution stuff for you.  Is it as good as it looks?  And am i reading correctly that it's free or is it just free for certain features?

I don't find it helps THAT much for keywords – at least not "good" keywords.

As for photos, it is pretty good.  A lot of my recent posts have used it.  Now whether or not it gives ENOUGH attribution to the photo taker I can't be sure.

It also lets you sign up to find other related posts that you can link to – sometimes even your own posts.

I don't use all the features but the keywords are good for reminders to add some if I forgot some and I like the photo part.

For those worried about RightHaven.  It looks like they may have to change their business model.  A federal judge has ruled they can't sue over other company's copyrights.  http://www.kansascity.com/2011…..right.html

I need to go back through my posts and switch out for CC pictures.

I always attribute the photo but it may not be that person's photo in the first place.

I use either freedigitalphotos.net or my own pics for my posts. I think a picture adds value and is pleasing to the eye. freedigitalphotos.net allows you to use photos for free as long as attribution is provided – and it gives you specific details on how to do it. I usually just include it in a caption directly below the photo.

Any other safe places to look for photos?

OUCH. Thanks for sharing. It just goes to show you never can be too careful. I'm in the process of writing an article about Kate Middleton's style for less and I'm stumped as to what photos I can or can't use here.

Ordinarily I use Flickr for photos. I advance search for Creative Commons licensed content. Once I've found a suitable picture I double check their licensing agreements and always attribute a photographer at the bottom of the article in brackets with a link to the specific Flickr stream.

That said the process can take AGES. Finding photos for articles (perhaps stupidly) takes me a disproportionately large amount of time. Sometimes I think it would be better if I stopped doing it altogether! Maybe I'm just too picky.

I use sxc.hu and wikimedia (read the license) most. I hope my images are all good and I have warned the other writers a million times.
