By now, I think we're all convinced that Wordpress is superior to Blogger (even me , but I am stuck using Blogger for the time being).

One of the reasons for this is that it is super easy in Wordpress (WhoSeesAds plugin) to control who you show Adsense to in order to not bother your readers that come for social reading instead of Search Engine traffic.

So, for the past 2.5 years, I've been eager to find a way to perform this manipulation for my blog in Blogger. This weekend, I finally took several hours to get this figured out!

Using the two guides below, I was able to figure out how to do it.

How To Show Adsense to SE Traffic Only in Blogger – 1

How To Show Adsense to SE Traffic Only in Blogger – 2

There are several either outdated or incorrect portions of the javascript code that made it cumbersome to figure out the first time through, but I'd be happy to assist anyone with questions that is interested in doing the same thing!

Check it out – if you click on a Google search result pointing to one of my posts, the Adsense shows up, but if you go directly, it doesn't!

Great success for Blogger users (or at least THIS blogger user)! haha

I don't know anything about Blogger, but when I've wanted to do this sort of thing in WordPress, I've written a small bit of custom code (added to theme) to look at the referrer and then do something if it matches (or doesn't match).

Yeah just do a quick Google search for 'show adsense search engine visitors only wordpress' and you can find a good number of plugins that can be used. Here's an example.
