I have a feeling that after the conference that many people may be interested in doing more video on their blog. I often get asked how I do it, so I shot this video as a "behind the scenes" look on how I do it.

You're both welcome. Just realized that a few things that I didn't add in the video is that I do have a Logitech HD webcam that I used in the beginning (but I prefer the Kodak Zi8 now) and I also use Camtasia for screencasts. You can see an example in my How to Invest in Lending Club Video.

Thanks for posting this. I always said that I'm too fat to make a video, and plan to start once I drop about 50lbs. However, a few people have asked me to start recording my workouts and my push ups challenge. Even Baker from Man vs. Debt challenged me to post videos and pictures now.

I'd jump on this. Getting some exposure from Man vs Debt would be awesome.

Yeah, I think I may have to get over my embarrassment and just do it. I told him that I'd send him a post in a few months so he can see my progress with it.

So I'm really interested in doing video and I was wondering if anyone else can weigh in on what equipment they like to use. I have an HD cam, but I haven't done any video posts because without an external microphone jack I sound like an 8 year old and command as much authority.
Does anyone have a camera, microphone, or editing software they are crazy about?
