So I guess my main question now is: Did you all wait until you had a freebie (ebook, etc) to give away before you put a newsletter box on your sites?

I supposed you get more subs if you had something to giveaway BUT I haven't given away anything as a lead magnet and I still get 20-30 new subs a day.

I will say that I am working on a free ebook (Finally!) so I hope it will only get better.

I promise you it's better to just start now.  I regret not starting from the beginning.  Sounds like Corey's realizing that, too.  Even Pat Flynn said that was one of his big mistakes starting out.

Build your list……NOW! Wink

And just in case you do……here's a nice link to Aweber for you.  Laugh

Alright, you guys have convinced me!  I read one of Pat's post on this and believe him when he says it was a mistake. What does it say about him that I feel guilty for using your link instead of his?  I've learned so much from following him over the years, that I almost owe it to him.  But then again, you responded personally to my questions. LOL

I'm gonna hold off until I can get the 10 or so blog posts off my immediate to-do list, but then I will definitely sign up for Aweber.  I've used MailChimp in the past and can't say I liked it all that much.
