About 54 days ago I had never heard of wordpress and had zero clue how to even set up a blog. I figured, hey, I'm retired, blogging sounds like fun, I want to learn more about social media, the internet, and share some knowledge on financial independence. Why not blog?
51 days ago (September 11, 2013) I started Rootofgood.com and set off on the blogging adventure.
I have been closing in on 200k for the last week or so. I'm excited to break that magic number today, barely before the close of my first full month of blogging.
Thanks to my fellow bloggers here who share their wisdom, as I have learned a lot. And thanks to my fall/winter teammates who stop by to comment and interact on twitter and facebook. I have formed a number of new "connections". Friends, associates, colleagues, whatever you want to call interacting with others and getting to know them to some extent. And I've rekindled a couple of old relationships with those who are active bloggers in the personal finance world.
I'm not exactly sure how I broke the magic 200k so quickly, but I'd like to think solid content helped.
Thanks for reading – I just wanted to do a little happy dance here!
