For those who check their Klout.
Did you notice Klout changed their algorithm? I was doing quite well and trending up for the last month and now my trend is nose diving! What the heck?
I guess I can stop checking Klout now…

Yeah was not pleased. Down 3 points. It's messing with my sponsored Tweet amounts. Down from $20 to $17 right now.

Further evidence that we should limit how much we count on such rankings. Much like the Big G's carpet bombing of some sites, PR changes, etc – this just shows that while we can try to play the game, we don't control the rules. What we do control is our content, networking, etc.
I'm hooked on stats/rankings too, being analytical. But trying to detach myself somewhat :)
Oh by the way, my score dropped like 10 points too…..

I sure am! Read my write up called Why I Make $20 Per Tweet On Twitter And You Don’t. I don't care about the metrics in and of themselves. I care about how the affect my earning potential.

I noticed my score dropped too! I attributed it to insufficient effort on my part.

I dropped 5 points. Is it a algorithm change season? I know at my work this is the time when most of the software changes take place..is this true every where?

If they changed their algo for everyone, and it seems most people dropped, then we shouldn't worry about it.
Not that we should spend a lot of time there, but you get K to give out every day. Just like Alexa, if we pop in and give out K to our friends then I think, over time, it should help us all. That is if I understand the site correctly.

Add me to the list of droppers. The funny thing is they claim that most people will increase of stay the same, yet the majority of what I have been seeing is people saying that their scores decreased.

It's like salary – if everyone lost 5% across the board, inflation (deflation?) would probably keep you running in place. However, psychologically, it would hurt a lot, haha.
I went from 29 -> 24. I'm a newbie though…

I dropped by 7 points. I've been trying to give +K to people over the past few weeks. Hopefully, that will help some of you with this dip.

Scores matter but not as much as topics. It is not like a PR where you get money for it. As long as you hold a certain level and get good topics, you can get in on the best perks.
