Let me introduce myself! | Bloggers Lair | Yakezie Forums

Hi everyone, I hope I am posting my introduction in the right place. I joined Yakezie back in January and realized that I didn't introduce myself. Sorry about that! I also haven't been as active as I would like either. I've promised myself that I will be way more active and try my best to participate on the forums, which I absolutely love by the way.

My name is Shondell I am 32 years old, recently engaged, and am getting married this summer! Whoo hoo! I started to seriously track my mortgage and car loan pay off balances in February of 2009. By December 2011 I paid off a total of $95,778.52, which included my car loan ($15,087.21), and mortgage ($80,691.31). It feels great not to have a car loan or mortgage payment any more. Since I have been living without a mortgage payment for some years, I have decided to save my old payment. It was $809 bi-weekly, I rounded it up to $1000. I figured If I could save $809 I could save $1000.

I’ve been working in the financial industry since I was 18, I can’t believe it has been 14 years already. I have held many different jobs in that time and have seen people manage their money well and mismanage their money. I figured After 14 years in the industry I must have learned something that I could share with others, which is how my blog got started.

I love talking about money and since I am sure my fiancé is tired of hearing me talk about budgeting and money management, blogging is a great outlet to get it all out. I just can't believe how many other people out there actually like talking about money as well. It's like I've finally met family members that I didn't know I had.

@ jonrhodesuk Thanks for letting me know my link is not working. I am not sure what happened. Here it is again. It's also in my signature as well.

I have tried changing my website on my profile from blogspot to my current website and it won't change. I went to edit profile record and changed the website and then clicked update record and nothing happens. Do you know what I did wrong?
