Hi everyone,

I'm working on a post about the special considerations graduate students should take when weighing whether or not to buy a home.  I want to focus only on those specific issues and not rehash all the advice that's already out there on rent vs. buy/judging a mortgage size/searching for a house, but I would like to link to a few great posts about the general case if the readers want more information.  I would love to promote Yakezie blogs in that list, so if you have written a really informative post in that general area please reply here with the link or email it to me and I'll look it over.

Thanks for your help!

Emily

I wrote a two-parter last year based on my experiences searching for a place to buy. Everything You Need to Know About Buying a Home But Nobody Ever Tells You: Part I & Part II

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I just wrote this a few weeks ago about how I plan on selling my home, but it actually goes into more depth on my home buying experience. May or may not fit with what you are looking for.

Thanks for sharing all your posts with me!  Unfortunately only a few of them lined up with what I wanted to add to my post, but I enjoyed reading all of them.  :)

My post went live today – please check it out and comment if you think there's anything I missed!

I wrote a post a little while back on the documentation required to apply for a Mortgage. How potential homebuyers can begin to get acquainted with the paperwork needed to apply.  Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but maybe something to consider :)
